History of Rajasthan

Rajasthan, historically known as Rajputana, has a rich and vibrant history characterized by the valor and chivalry of its Rajput rulers. WEATHER IN RAJASTHAN

Rajasthan, known for its arid and desert landscape, experiences extreme weather conditions characterized by scorching summers and chilly winters. The climate varies significantly across the state due to its vast size and diverse topography.

Summer (April to June): Rajasthan's summer months are blisteringly hot, with temperatures soaring as high as 45°C to 50°C (113°F to 122°F) in some regions, particularly in the desert areas like Jaisalmer and Barmer. The heat can be intense, making outdoor activities uncomfortable during the daytime. However, hill stations like Mount Abu offer some respite with cooler temperatures and lush greenery.

Monsoon (July to September): Rajasthan receives scanty rainfall during the monsoon season, with most of the state being classified as arid or semi-arid. The Aravalli Range acts as a barrier to the southwest monsoon winds, resulting in limited rainfall. However, certain regions, especially in the southeastern part of the state, experience slightly higher precipitation. Monsoon showers provide some relief from the scorching heat and rejuvenate the landscape, but they can also cause occasional flooding and waterlogging in low-lying areas.

Post-Monsoon (October to November): After the monsoon season, Rajasthan experiences a transition period characterized by pleasant weather. Winter (December to March): Rajasthan's winter season is mild during the day but can be quite cold at night, especially in the desert regions where temperatures can drop below freezing.
