Who we are
Chasing Horizons is run by Owais Ahmad Mir and a small team from an office in Rambagh, south Srinagar. We plan private trips within Kashmir, from a first family circuit of the valley to a nine-day trek over three high passes.
The name comes from a habit. Whenever we plan a route, we ask what lies one valley further on: Aru beyond Pahalgam, Tulail beyond Dawar, Sinthan Top beyond Kokernag. Not every guest wants to go there, and that is fine. But the option is always on the table, properly priced and properly planned.
The practical side matters just as much. We work with Kashmiri drivers, trek crews, houseboat families and homestay hosts, we tell you what is not included before you have to ask, and we change plans quickly when snow, wind or a closed road calls for it.
What we hold ourselves to
One clear price
Everything included is listed, and so is everything that is not, from Gondola tickets to union taxis. Nothing gets added at the end.
Honest about the mountains
Passes close, wind stops the Gondola and treks need real fitness. We say so early and plan around it.
Money stays local
Our drivers, cooks, pony handlers and hosts are from the valley, so what you spend on the trip stays here.

How it works

Tell us your dates, who is coming and what kind of trip you want. Trek, road trip, snow or the classic circuit, a rough idea is enough.

Get a plan with one price
Usually within a day you get a day-by-day route, the stays or camps we suggest and a single price listing what is and is not included.
- 03
Shape it and confirm
Swap stops, add a night, change the hotel level. When it looks right, a part payment confirms the rooms, the cab and any trek crew.
- 04
Go
We pick you up at Srinagar airport and stay on WhatsApp throughout. On treks, we keep in touch through your trek leader wherever there is signal.
Drop in on your way in
Our office is in Rambagh, on the road from the airport into the city and about 25 minutes from arrivals. Stop for a cup of kahwa, meet the people planning your trip and go over the route on a map before you set off.
