General Information About Jharkhand

Jharkhand is a state in eastern India. It is identified for its waterfalls, the elegant Jain temples of Parasnath Hill and the elephants and tigers of Betla national Park. The state capital of Ranchi is a gateway to the park. It aspects the 17th-century Jagannath Temple, a Hindu shrine and the Jharkhand conflict Memorial. Tagore Hill is a monument honoring Nobel Prize–winning writer Rabindranath Tagore.

Jamshedpur is the most populous urban agglomeration in the Indian state of Jharkhand. Jamshedpur is the headquarters of the East Singhbhum district of Jharkhand. According to the 2011 census of India, Jamshedpur district has current population of 1,337,131; the Jamshedpur urban agglomeration, which includes the adjoining areas, Jamshedpur Urban Area is the third Largest city in Eastern India. It is also the first planned industrial city of India. It is located on the Chota Nagpur plateau and is surrounded by the picturesque Dalma Hills. The city is bordered by the rivers Subarnarekha and Kharkai on the north and west parts of the city. Jamshedpur is home to world's tenth largest steel manufacturing company, Tata Steel.

Ghatshila is a census town in Purbi Singhbhum district in the state of Jharkhand, India and it is a subdivisional of East singhbhum district. The city is located on the bank of the Subarnarekha River, and it is situated in a forested area. It contains a railway station on the main line of the South Eastern Railway. Ghathsila was formerly the headquarters of the kingdom of Dhalbhum.
